FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Mambya Arts Foundation PRESENTS Act Africa Now Climate Change Awareness March.   November 4th 2022- A group of activists took to the streets of DOWN TOWN KAMPALA, as they raised awareness and brought knowledge/ information about climate change and Global Warming into the ears of people. The march was led by OSCAR SENYONGA, a Climate Change Activist and a very well known/ respected Human Rights Defender/ Advocate in Uganda. As early as 8am Participants had already started gathering at ARENA MALL, which is were the march set off from, by 9am activists and those in support of the cause had gathered in full swing ready to walk the good walk as they raise awareness all over downtown Kampala from NSYAMBYA all the way through Kisenyi. Dressed in Green [ACT NOW AFRICA] t-shirts, carrying informative signposts about Climate Change they set off and immediately grasped the attention of pedestrians, street vendors, shop owners and even those in cars rolled down their windows

Tuzinne Festival 2020

Following, Understanding and experiencing the world pandemic of Covid19 we couldn’t host any live event during this year. But by the support of our partners the U.S MISSION KAMPALA via their FEDERAL ASSISTANCE AWARD , we managed to organize and produce a virtual edition of the annual human rights dance event, Tuzinne Festival Where Human Rights Dance 2020   The Tuzinne Festival is an inclusive human rights dance festival that highlights the work of artists with disabilities or from marginalized communities in Uganda. This is a virtual edition of the Tuzinne Festival, highlighting shared American and? Ugandan values like free speech, diversity, and the importance of protecting the rights of even the most marginalized members in our communities. We would like to thank our partners for making this year’s edition possible.
