Welcome to our first blog post. Mambya Performing Arts Foundation is based in Kampala, Uganda . It was found in 2013 by Ssenyonga Oscar with the aim to give young African people a platform to express and communicate thoughts and ideas relevant to their respective lives through the performing arts. In the end of 2013 the foundation started a dance company--Mambya Dance Company--to provide more job opportunities for professional dancers and choreographers. Targeted mostly are young dancers and choreographers with the aim of promot ing dance in Africa. Mambya Dance Company creates and performs a diverse repertoire of dances that range from contemporary dance to hip hop dances with the vibrancy of African traditional dances.
